1. Clear Browser Data or Try Private/Incognito Mode
Option A: Clear your browser history and cookies, then restart your browser. View specific instructions for your browser or device: iPhone | Android | iPad | Chrome | Edge | Firefox | Safari
Option B (Fastest): Close all windows, open a new Private / Incognito window, and paste your interview URL into the address bar. Instructions for your specific setup can be found here: Chrome | Edge | Firefox | Safari | Android | iPhone | iPad
2. Check Device Permissions
When the interview loads, your browser will ask for hardware access.
Look for a pop-up prompt and click Allow for both the camera and microphone.
To manually check your permissions:
On Desktop: Click the Lock icon 🔒 (or settings icon) located on the left side of your browser's address bar next to the URL. Ensure Camera and Microphone are set to "Allow."
On Mobile: Go to your device's main Settings > scroll down to your browser app (e.g., Safari or Chrome) > ensure the toggles for Camera and Microphone are turned on.
📱 Important Note for Mobile Users
If you are taking this assessment on an Apple mobile device, you must use the Safari browser.
Due to iOS security settings, alternative mobile browsers (like Chrome or Firefox for iOS) often block camera and microphone access. Using Safari bypasses these restrictions and ensures your video saves correctly.
Keep in mind: You have a maximum of 5 attempts for each video question. As you progress through the interview after restarting, please ensure you are ready before hitting record!
