How to Send and Resend Candidate Assessments in Dayforce

The Recruiting module allows you to evaluate candidates by initiating or re-triggering assessments based on their stage in the hiring pipeline, ensuring only qualified talent moves forward in the selection process.

Key Requirements and Restrictions

Before sending an invitation, keep the following rules in mind:

  • Internal Candidates: Depending on your system configuration, assessment options may be disabled for internal employees.

  • Ineligible Statuses: You cannot send assessments to candidates marked as Declined, Do Not Hire, Do Not Rehire, or Hired.

  • Status Mapping: If your requisition uses status mapping, the Send Assessment option may remain hidden until the candidate reaches a specific stage (e.g., "Screening"). To view a requisition's specific status mapping, navigate to Recruiting > Job Requisitions and click the link within the Candidate Status Mapping column.

  1. Locate the Requisition: Go to Recruiting and open the relevant job requisition.

  2. Select the Candidate: In the Candidates tab, you can initiate the request in two ways:

    • From the list view: Select the candidate and click Screen > Send Assessment (or Resend) in the top toolstrip.

    • From the profile: Click the candidate's name to open their profile, then click Screen Candidate > Send Assessment (or Resend) in the left panel.

  3. Review the Email: A dialog box will appear with the assessment request template.

  4. Edit and Send: Customize the email content if necessary, then click Send to deliver the assessment link to the candidate.
